      Marrant... Je me suis trouvé le DVD de Gremlins 2 au mois d'août et je l'ai regardé dans la foulée.

      À mon grand étonnement, la fameuse scène où les gremlins perturbent le visionnage du film y est celle de la version cinéma (avec Hulk Hogan), pas celle de la version VHS/télé (avec John Wayne).

      Aujourd'hui mon pote Ulk m'envoie un lien vers une séquence alternative spéciale V.OD. Réalisée par Sacha Feiner, un animateur fondu de gremlins, elle montre les bestioles envahissants plusieurs autres films qu'ils téléchargent sur une plate forme de V.O.D.

      Normalement pour illustrer ce billet, c'était l'occasion rêvée de photographier une de mes deux figurines de gremlins en plastoque, dont une repeinte (Stripe, le méchant du premier film). Sauf que je les ai pas avec moi dans mon hébergement-temporaire-qui-dure. J'ai bien une peluche de Gizmo mais... nân.

      Tant qu'on y est: dans le même genre, une démo d'un artiste 3D. Assez sympa, mais moins bien réalisé que la séquence de Sacha Feiner.

      Behold the madness that has consumed me for the last two weeks. This mansion is primarily an homage to the Spencer Mansion from Resident Evil, in fact a few of you might even recognize some of the rooms and layout, but it also has uses for Pulp, Gothic Horror, and other stuff as well. The overall structure is a series of foam board cubes and rectangles bases on Gatorboard. The entire unit is roughly 27 inches wide and 21 inches deep. As of the moment this is the first floor. I am currently planning two additional floors, a central tower, secret passage, crypt, and basement. Of course these plans are long term. The pictures are few in number, sorry about that.       I decided to have another shot at building a Colonial Outpost/Space Base/Space Ship. My concept has always been to build the structure inside boxes (easy storage) and I have tried a couple times now and failed. My earlier attempts used plastic card and bits which I attempted to put together and make a modular system which could be used for a variety of games of the "Space Hulk" type, but more oriented towards stuff like the Alien or Doom movies. Thanks to DeathWing, I checked out and bought World Works Games "First Light" .pdf, which though it is a space ship I figured I could modify to meet my goal.

      I was not really happy with some of the models with the set, so I cut a few terminators in half and repositioned them. I also glued an extra Cyclone Missle Launcher I had on one! The glue lines will be fixed before priming. I shall work on and finish all of the Black Reach models before moving onto chaos.

      mimpAxe1Le 26 Octobre aura lieu la journée internationale des Zombies.

      Nikko (blog Miniature Asylum) a proposé un défi bloguriniste à cette occasion.(Les défis blogurinistes sont des projets collectifs lancés entre une petite bande de blogueurs figurinistes. On a réalisé il y a peu que le défi gagnerait à être lancé publiquement afin de permettre à d'autres personnes d'y participer).

      Titre : IZD (international Zombie Day)
      durée : de maintenant jusqu’au 26 Octobre
      Réalisation : photo d’un projet figuriniste (décors, figurines, dioramas, scénarios, etc…) en relation avec la journée internationale des zombies qui aura lieu le dimanche 26 octobre dans le monde entier, photo(s) a poster ce jour.
      Récompense : rien (comme d’habitude)

      Pour illustrer cette info, j'ai retrouvé une vielle photo d'une figurine Monsters In My Pocket que j'avais repeinte en 2000. Son socle est un échantillon de linoleum. Il me semble me souvenir  que cette figurine était destinée à une campagne Warhammer Quest, à thème Skavens & Morts-Vivants. Elle incarne un genre d'ogre zombie car elle est assez grande par rapport à un humain 28mm. Je me souviens avoir joué cette campagne, la figurine a donc sans doute servi au moins une fois.
